LifeScience Research Center
The center was established in April 2005 to meet the needs arising from the development of Yulin University and the growth of the local economy. It is intended to facilitate research conducted by the university’s senior scientific research personnel and to enable experimental instruments to be fully utilized. The center has an area of 200m2, and is staffed by 10 members and equipped with 53 sets of instruments and facilities, including micro-operating instruments, CO2cultivation boxes, PCR, high-speed freezing centrifuges, and fluorescent microscopes. The center, with fixed assets of 1.5 million Yuan, has all the facilities required for the study of molecular and cell biology. The staff members direct their studies toward building the local economy and solving the problems arising from research into life sciences in Yulin and its neighboring districts.
The center hopes to build academic links with overseas and domestic institutions with similar interests.
